If we see the world full of One, then One is born.
I've written this poem hours after the Orlando shooting.
United we stand.

I picked up a pen - not a gun and my finger curled around its ink trigger

Whilst the cricket softly cries life sustains with a flicker

But exists with a flame

The man is tame

Until he comes in the room with his big balloon who self - implodes

He spent the night binge watching the last of the past episodes

Words melting from the heat of his head, dripping from his tongue

Bullets of syllables flying like frogs, turning books into morgues

Gravity pulls sweat onto the floor

A restless look at the door

Locked to earth his blistering eyes, speaking his mind in slur

Dancefloor full of red and the street lights blur

We lost what was born

Pain. Nurturance. Intention into Motion.

Your physical self is fine today. You woke up this morning, had a fresh orange juice and a good stretch. Common sense, would say that you're fine - but common sense can be wrong. Tiredness, emotional exhaustion, depression, anger, worry, grief among other things can be the pillars of everyday wear and tear of the Psyche which is equally as important as the physical self.

When a person is constantly stressed by emotional pain, there are a few changes in the body that can create a dependency on stress-related chemistry. Negative emotions and thoughts can be so habitual that you cannot live without them. There are habitual patterns in pain - like smoking or alcohol.

Nurturance, acknowledgment, encouragement and patience are essential. You cannot help yourself or another from a place of anger, criticism and guilt. It's all about addressing each feeling and finding a suitable positive replacement. Instead of chaos use self discipline, nurturance over deprivation. It's OK to say no to things, don't increase your stress levels by trying to meet the extra demands on your time; protect and manage the time you have. Breathe deeply - deep breathing adds oxygen to the bloodstream and helps clear the mind. Get up and move, take a break and go for a walk outside to get some fresh air - it will help stabilising stress hormones and restore the body and mind to a much calmer state.

Personally, when I am having a difficult day, I try to incorporate nature in visualising my intention. I feel like this way I am bringing in powerful creative forces that invoke and ignite different types of energy and freedom. What represents freedom for you? Utilizing nature can bring in abundance elevated emotions such as love, happiness, kindness and gratitude - in the long run these emotions can help building a more naturally sustained order and coherence in our life, transforming our intention into motion.

The Modern Nomad

I believe in the freedom of spirit, the power of speech and the ability to change direction at anytime given. I've personally changed directions many times in my life. Will I ever stop? I don't know that. Maybe not. But why should I? Redefining who we are in modern times, has become a part of the norm and phrases like 'reinventing yourself' make more sense now than ever.

If I see myself as an ever changing entity, I could reconstruct my present as many times as I please within my own boundaries but essentially, I'd still be the same in my very own core. A new age Nomad, trying to find a tribe or just trying to create one that would welcome others to join in.

As I grow older, my needs change with me and I am looking forward to welcome more changes and many new ways of thinking and living in the present as a consequence. Simple pleasures, are more meaningful to me now - more than ever if I may say and I cherish and value every single one of them.

Spirituality is something that has become necessary in my everyday life and helps me find the light through difficult times; I sometimes ask myself - is it just a superfluous tool for integration and fulfilment? I feel very strongly that we should just let the Earth and Nature heal us but we also need to devote ourselves to the healing of the Earth. We breathe with the trees, we take vibrations from their roots, we feed off of them. The journey of spirituality always redirects us back to our self: we are children of the Earth after all.

When we embrace problems as agents for growth, we begin the real transformation. Not protecting ourselves, can be really beneficial and liberating when it's used wisely. We can remove the root cause of disturbance inside us, free ourselves by simply acknowledging its existence. I am not the work I do, or the pain I feel - I am the one who notices these things and asks questions and takes actions and risks. When our consciousness is separated and aware of these things freedom can be achieved, and freeing yourself means finding yourself.

Change of Direction

Today, Tuesday 29th March, I am sat in my East London flat with my phone on my right, a cup of Earl Grey on my left and a book to read in front of me. Looking at the book cover, I take a pause and a deep breath to realise once again, that we all are Didos, Almas, Emmas, Juliets, Miss Havishams, Cornelias, Electras and the list goes on and on.

I find it very easy to romanticise about artists and their tragic heroines, but as an artist and a woman I refuse to accept and digest why (in most cases) the female is the unstable one, the one unable to make choices, the fragile one, the deceived one, the foolish one. In a society where women are still under scrutiny and often shamed because of their hormonal changes, how do we take back the power? Is the need to please the others affecting our inner voice?

My personal path has led me to the conclusion that we need to remember the teachings of the ancient tribe mothers and their sense of self, the strength that comes through sisterhood and the challenge to become leaders by example. As more women take their roles in the modern world of corporations and business, they often find themselves losing touch with the feminine and therefore their voice. It is more important than ever to value the needs of one, work on the weaknesses, embrace the imperfections, stop pleasing the others just for a temporary fix of safety and security and accept that not everyone is going to like you and that's OK. If we maintain the understanding of who we are, we can support and nurture the development of the female aspect in our male counterparts.

Instead of being the tragic heroines, we can be the writers of our own story  and / or our sisters' stories. Spiritual empowerment is like giving birth to a child - you dilate and contract, it's a rhythm, a natural flow. Quiet time alone is key here, contemplation, a centering line of thought or reading, a physical activity, even arranging a bowl of flowers in the afternoon can give a sense of quiet on a busy day. Turn inward for strength and reach out to grab the hands of those who will always be there for you. Look for Love and Be Love.

Making a home for kindness

Reach out forward into the unknown. The world can be negative and harsh, but if we remain patient, generous and open, kindness will reveal itself.

Kindness is one of the beautiful children of our Psyche; it is open minded, wants nothing back from itself and has infinite respect for the miracle of all life. Kindness, helps us activate our compassion in every area and dimension of life, a force that longs to be invoked by us to help transform all things that do no longer serve us.

Make a home for kindness in your heart. Notice what thoughts create tension, anxiety or depression and choose to release them. Relax the habits of the past and awaken to the reality of your own spiritual presence. Create your world in love through the action of your open, beautiful and radiant heart.

Should you perceive a problem, surround it will love. Define it's existence in love. Sometimes problems are caused by lack of love. Only with love and kindness you introduce the understanding that can provide you with answers and solutions. Understanding, kindness and compassion, dissolve the fears. There is release, relief and a return to joy.

There is always a turning point in your personal growth / transformation process - when the fixed mind surrenders and triggers a huge expansion in the consciousness of the heart, body and soul.

Ultimately, kindness is a series of choices, a moment by moment conscious turning away from that which will harm your spirit toward that which will nourish and sustain you. Look at yourself and others with kindness, with a conscious awareness of your sufferings and in time, with a deep appreciation for the way you have transformed them.

Be the Changemaker, the Stormbringer, the Starwalker and spread your divine light across the universe.

Breaking the pattern

Summer is finally here and one way or another, we've made it safe and sound. It feels like June is the perfect time to do nice things for yourself and others, to take a break from the routine and do something different, for this helps to bring refreshment and renewal for the soul.

Travelling to York on Saturday, I had a lot of time on the train to think that when you give love to yourself, love given to others comes easily and flows unobstructed from a free from all restrains soul. Finding your own path through the perplexities and challenges of life can make life experience interesting but most worthwhile and this is when most new revelations come into view and writing these down is extremely helpful to record for later perusal, reflection and contemplation.

There are always a lot of challenging events in one's life, I personally, get through by sending light and prayers into those situations. Sometimes, old world thought patterns and values can resurface, which can be limiting and bring the energy down, but it is very important to clear all these from our consciousness for they do not serve us. These patterns can be replaced with nourishing and life enhancing thoughts and habits which reinforce those concepts that help you move into the life you always dreamed of having. Let go of all that holds you back from the life you are meant to live.

Spend your time blessing everyone and everything around you.

What you send out to into the Universe, is reflected back to you and when you are living and embodying the higher and greater vision of your life, you are enabling those around you to do the same. Always keep in mind that your energy field extends many miles in all directions and dimensions and touches all of life within that field.

There will always be many who are still influenced and affected by the lower energies of older cycles and what happens when you direct your attention into the new thought patterns of kindness, generosity, sharing, caring abundance and prosperity on a daily basis is the resetting and renewing of the consciousness of humanity.

We are the ones who break the patterns and also the one who make them. We are creating the world as we move along through our daily existence. Take responsibility of your own actions, of all that you create on a daily basis, the glorious new world would be manifest much more quickly. Let the well of life within you run freely, you must not allow it to run dry; renew it with zest and enthusiasm on a regular basis. Recharge your batteries and fuel your life with love and light. Break the pattern and make your own one. Inspire, those around you to do the same. Open your soul's window and let the light in. Glow, sparkle and fall in light.

Following the music trail

Discovery was the reason why I am here. On the train to Arundel last week, I've been reminded to slow down, enjoy life with nature and the beautiful people around me. Surrounded by majestic trees and all shades of green, my spirit was instantaneously lifted and the wonder of nature was the most rejuvenating thing my spirit had felt for a while. Getting off the train, I took a deep breath in, shut everything that didn't serve me off and transferred my mind to a place of clarity and light.

Unearth the land, chase the sun, run with the wolves - that's what the spirits told me and my ears danced with the sound of palpitating leaves. ...then I was ready to play music.

All these years being a musician and a listener I have searched for music that increased my ability to vibrate and feel. When music makes you want to dance, you are open to receive more divine light. When music touches your heart, you are opening to receive love. When music unleashes your sensuality and passion, you are becoming more alive. When music helps you express anger and rage you are opening to make room for change and transformation. Music also produces that resonance which vibrates through the whole being. It lifts thought above the denseness of matter; it almost turns matter into spirit, into its original and pure condition, through the harmony of vibrations touching every single strand of one's whole being. Music is vibration. Music brings the people together.

In the pursuit of a more balanced and harmonious life, tune in to nature, turn within and connect with your own divine essence. You can't go wrong if you do. Rise up like the break of dawn. Follow your own star.

I am finishing today's post with a poetic insight from Jamie Sams and her book that was based on Native American creeds and legends  'Earth Medicine: Ancestors Way of Harmony for many Moons'

''Spark of inspiration,
Light my spirit's fire,
Let the joy of creation
Be my heart's desire.
Let me flow with the music,
Let me dance with my dreams alive,
Let me sing my deepest feelings
Until the whole world thrives.
Exploding into expression,
My joy takes many forms,
Leaving the tears and sadness
For the warmth of tender arms.
Hold me, sweet Earth mother,
Soft against your breast,
That I might share the ecstasy
Of my creation's best''

Love, Light and Music.
