Mother Earth

'' To be a human being is an honor and we offer thanksgiving for all the gifts of life.

Mother Earth, we thank you for giving us everything we need.

Thank you, deep blue waters around Mother Earth, for you are the force that takes thirst away from all living things.

We give thanks to green grasses that feel so good against our bare feet, for the cool beauty you bring to Mother Earth's floor

Thank you, good foods from Mother Earth, our life sustainers, for making us happy when we are hungry.

Fruits and berries, we thank you for your color and sweetness.

We are all thankful to good medicine herbs, for healing us when we are sick.

All the trees in the world, we are thankful for the shade and warmth you give us

We give thanks to you, gentle Four Winds, for bringing clean air for us to breathe from for directions

Thank you Grandfather Thunder Beings for bringing rains to help all living things grow

Elder Brother Sun, we send thanks for shining your light and warming Mother Earth.

And most of all, thank you, Great Spirit, for giving us all these wonderful gifts ''

Circles of motion

Take a deep breath and open the heart of the warrior you have hidden out of fear of discovery and rejection, freely nurture it with elemental truth, the truth you have seen through the eyes and ears of your inner voice of wisdom. Be still and in your truth. Change the atmosphere of everywhere you go with your words - call in good, call in light, call in love. We prophesize the future by the words we speak each minute of every day. Our words, are always a self-fulfilling prophecy - let's start only prophesizing the good and the intention of good.

Get out there and put things in motion - in order to receive, is to move out into the world and spread joy, bring pleasure and share gifts you have received from every experience. Encourage others to join with you in a symphony of loving support. If we all responded to the beauty around us, then we would be able to weave this beauty into the fabric of living.

Sometimes staying positive becomes a challenge. Every one of us must find our own mechanism to notice, capture and release negative thoughts - and that's not an easy task. Like everything, capturing a negative emotion or thought and replacing it with a positive one it's not a walk in the park and it takes a lot of practice and patience.

When you are dwelling in negativity, find what you love and just do it! For me, it's music, writing, skating, hiking, yoga and capturing life through my lens. Find what makes you happy and go for it. Nurturing the daily aesthetic of our inner creative nature is a way to engage with life. Only when you do things you love your spirit is lifted, vibrant and radiate positivity. Give yourself a break. Look at yourself with kindness. The journey up the mountain is challenging, but the view from the top is worth it...
